“If nothing saves us from death, may love at least save us from life.”

Pablo Neruda wrote those words so long before yet they are as impactful as the deepest cut on my skin.

Death is uncontrollable. It sweeps up and grabs anyone. From the rich billionaire to the homeless man on the street. The one thing that is always sure is death. However your life turns out, death will always take the reins at the end.

But love is of the complete opposite. It is the one emotion, the one part of us that we control entirely.

While we can’t control who we love; it just happens. We can control the amount of love and soul we give to others.

That is the beauty of human beings. We were given the ability to love endlessly without question. We were given the power to give others a part of our heart.

Let love save you. Let love touch the deepest part of your soul. Let love make wonders of all your broken promises and heartbreaks. Let love smile even on your worst days. Let love be the token of all that you live by.

Let love save you if it hasn’t already done so.
